9The Papamoa Community Centre is housed with the Papamoa Library and is situated in the middle of Papamoa’s growing shopping precinct close to Café’s and Restaurants.
The Centre is bright and modern with free car parking providing easy access to accommodate local community groups and businesses for meetings, events and interviews.
Every community needs a place where friendships, shared activities and support networks can be nurtured for all ages throughout the year.

Facilities
The Centre has attractive, purpose built rooms of varying sizes with free Wi-Fi access in all rooms and up to date equipment and facilities. Seating, tables and whiteboards are provided and we also have projectors, screens and audio visual equipment available by prior booking.All rooms are light and airy with a vibrant atmosphere for your meeting or event with shade blinds and wall affixed whiteboards, (see room pics below). Some rooms open out to patio areas for outside eating options and a fully equipped kitchen is also available for hire.
In house or private catering can be arranged if necessary. The foyer is also available for displays and exhibitions.
During the Winder the centre is warmed by under floor heating in all rooms.
The Papamoa Community Centre is owned by Tauranga City Council and managed by Bay Venues.

TOHORA - 109m2Our largest room, Tohora, incorporates a kitchenette comprising hot water zip, small fridge, dishwasher, microwave, bench space, crockery and cutlery. It seats 100 people conference style. A large wall-mounted projector and whiteboard is available for use. Foldaway tables are available for use in workshops/training. The room has its own temperature control system and outside private courtyard. There is a lino floor suitable for dancing. |

AIHE - 93m2Aihe is a large, multi-purpose room with a ‘wet floor’ style carpet, ideal for exercise and arts and crafts. It has mirrors at one end of the room for dance classes and its own temperature control system. This room will accommodate up to 70 people conference style, with chairs housed in storage cupboards in the room, therefore out of sight for exercise classes. It has a wall mounted whiteboard, projector screen and flip tables are in the hallway to help yourself. 3 x stainless steel sinks are featured in this room, making it ideal for arts and crafts clean up. This room enjoys enclosed courtyard access (shared with Mako room).

MAKO - 68m2Mako is a medium-sized room with the benefit of a serving hatch through to our well stocked kitchen. It is fully carpeted with enclosed courtyard access (shared with Aihe room). This room comfortably seats 50 conference style. It features a wall mounted projector screen and whiteboard and its own temperature control system. Chairs are stacked in the room ready for use. Flip tables are in the room to help yourself.

TAMURE - 29m2Tamure is the largest of our smaller rooms, accommodating groups of up to 15 conference style or 10 with a board room set up. Floor to ceiling glass with opening windows make this a light and airy space for your meetings. A wall mounted whiteboard and a sink is available for use. Great training room for small groups.

TARAKIHI - 17m2 & PATIKI - 16m2These are our two small rooms, perfect for one-on-ones, interviews, counseling and health services. The rooms can seat up to 10 without a table or 6 around a table. They are fully carpeted and have wall mounted whiteboards.

ATRIUM - 15m2Atrium is the smallest room available for hire, for small group meetings, from 8:30am to 1:00pm on Mondays & Fridays, during school terms. A table and four chairs furnish the room. There is easy access from the Centre’s main doors to this room.

The KitchenThe kitchen is equipped with oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer, hot water zip, crockery, cutlery, tumblers, platters, jugs etc. The kitchen is for hire only in conjunction with room hire as it is not a commercial kitchen for private cooking.
