We welcome writers, illustrators, librarians, teachers, parents, grandparents and wider whānau, and members of the public as members of The Friends of Storylines Nga Pou o te Whare Waituhi Tamariki o Aotearoa.

Stroylines supports and celebrates New Zealand children’s writers and illustrators, encourages young New Zealanders to read books by authors who tell the stories of this country, and helps develop a love of literature among New Zealand children and their adults.

By paying the nominal Friends of Storylines membership fee you show your support for a strong New Zealand voice in children’s literature, you join a vibrant children’s literature community – and you support the ongoing development of a children’s literature tradition that ensures that New Zealand children grow up reading and hearing stories from this country told in New Zealand vernacular.

You become part of an active community of children's literature enthusiasts and experts and seek to share your love of literature (particularly New Zealand children’s literature), be involved, network, share information, and support the aims and objectives of the Storylines Trust.
