Hardy Water Lilies are the most common variety. They produce round green leaves that float on the surface of the water. Flowers bloom on the water surface in soft pastel colours, the petal shapes are also quite round with many tiered layers. The plant grows from a rhizome (long taper root) that sends off many plants along the root. Extremely easy to re-pot and divide. Regular fertilizing through the spring and summer months will encourage more leaves and a more prominent bloom. Water Lilies like calm water and plenty of sun.
