The Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) scheme has been established to recognise competent, skilled building practitioners; which is a key component for the success of many initiatives being investigated as part of the Building Act Review.

From 1st March 2012 it is an offence (with a fine of up to $20,000) for a building practitioner eg – roofer, to carry out Restricted Building work unless they or someone supervising their work is appropriately licensed.

At Peninsula Roofing we have embraced the LBP scheme.  Our commitment to on-going training has enabled all our roofers to be licensed as qualified practitioners.  They hold a NZQA Level 4 National Certificate in Roofing covering the following areas:
  • Profiled Metal Roofing and/or Wall Cladding

  • Pressed Steel Roofing

  • Roof Membrane

  • Torch-on Roof Membrane

  • Liquid Membrane Roof

The LBP scheme requires licence holders to renew their licence every two (2) years.  Our roofers are required to undertake on-going training and keep up to date with industry changes and regulations. While doing this, they obtain points which they are required to submit when they renew their licence.

With this knowledge, you can be assured that at Peninsula Roofing we are able to provide you with roofers who are qualified and licensed and up-to-date with the very latest industry products and regulations.
