Austin practises and has a wide experience in all areas of commercial and general civil litigation. He has appeared as counsel in numerous cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal and, as well, in the Privy Council and Supreme Court. Austin is a former President of the New Zealand Law Society, the Canterbury District Law Society and chairman of the New Zealand Legal Association (Inc). He went to the Bar in 1990, was appointed a QC in 1996, and awarded a CNZM in 1997. Austin is currently the chair of the NZLS Rule of Law Committee. In his spare time, Austin enjoys reading the High Court Rules.

Kelly specialises in commercial litigation. She advises on a wide range of commercial litigation issues, including contract disputes, insolvency and credit recovery, local government issues, property law disputes and security enforcement.Kelly has appeared in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal, as well as Tribunal and Arbitration hearings. She has successfully argued proceedings for recovery of land, an application for an urgent interim injunction, strike-out applications, defended liquidation proceedings and appeared in various High Court and District Court trials and interlocutory hearings.
