General booking information

We offer face-to-face, video and phone consultations.Appointments can be booked by phoning or emailing our receptionist, or via the Book Appointment tab on this website. Patients who are set up with our Manage My Health portal can book via their phone or desktop app.

If you need to be assessed and you do not see any appointments available online please phone us - we have a number of appointments reserved for patients who become acutely unwell on the day.

If you have respiratory or flu-like symptoms (sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell) please wear a mask and let our receptionist know on arrival.

If you have advised our receptionist or indicated online that you wish to have a virtual (video) consult a link for this will be emailed to you prior to your appointment. If you have not received this ahead of your appointment time, please contact our receptionist.

Will there be a cost for telehealth (phone and video) consultations?

Standard fees apply for face to face, telephone and video consultations. You can access information about our fees here.

Phone and web based consults are ideal for patients who do not require an examination. If you book a virtual consult and you are not available for examination but your Doctor feels it is important that you are assessed in person, you will be asked to return for a subsequent appointment (additional fee will apply).

How can I get a prescription?

We provide repeat prescriptions for a limited number of stable ongoing conditions according to our practice policy - please see the Repeat Prescription heading under the Info tab. If you need a repeat prescription and you believe an appointment isn't required, please phone or email our nurse (nurse@mtedenvillagedoctors.co.nz) or request this via the Manage My Health portal. Please allow at least 24 hours for processing your repeat prescription request. We will either email your prescription to you, or text it to you or your chosen pharmacy. When we send it directly to a pharmacy at your request, you will receive a text to advise you that it has been processed. Please ensure you provide your mobile phone number with prescription requests.
