Cast your mind back to Christmas Day and that satisfied, sleepy feeling that you enjoyed after tucking into your festive feast… It could just have been a case of overindulgence, or a symptom of how early your household got up to see what Santa had left, however there are also certain compounds in foods that promote tiredness.

Childhood is a particularly important time to support immunity, when developing immune systems are susceptible to various bugs and other health issues.

Your baby's inner health starts with yours

You’ve probably heard that the balance between good and bad bacteria in your gut can have a big influence on your health, but what you may not realise is that your inner health actually influences your baby’s inner health. The probiotic bacteria in your gut are essentially the seeds from which your baby’s gut bacteria develop, so the healthier your gut health is, the greater the possibility your baby will also have good gut health and immune health.

Need an Energy Boost?

Lets face it- there are very few people in our modern world that would turn down the opportunity to have more energy. We all have those things in our lives that deplete our energy - stressful jobs, long journeys each day, giving our best to our families after a full day’s work, training to keep fit or compete, studying, growing, healing. What if there was something completely natural you could take with your breakfast or lunch to pick your energy up with no down side?

Did you know our bodies can't store B vitamins like they can certain other micronutrients - so it's really important to make sure that you get an adequate intake each and every day.

Magnificent Magnesium

No discussion of stress and digestion could be complete without a look at the macro mineral, magnesium. Magnesium may not be the most abundantly present mineral in our bodies (in fact, it’s the fourth – adult bodies typically have about 25g of magnesium) but it is one of the most crucial to overall health and wellbeing.

Stress Less, Digest More

It’s likely you’ve already got some idea that your emotions are linked to your appetite and, quite likely, the food choices you make at different times.  What you may be less aware of though is, internally, the impact that stress has on how our body works, how it digests food, and how it is able to utilise what we’re consuming.

Become a pro with probiotics

Our feet are structurally amazing. With 26 bones, over 100 muscles and 15,000 nerves, our feet are made to be flexible, which helps us balance, walk, run and stand - and all of that usefulness and complexity makes them very important to look after.

BEAT THE BLOAT - How to deal with over-indulgence this festive season

Written by Hardy's on January 25th, 2017.      0 comments

A sausage bursting out of its casing. A pufferfish blown up in defence. An enormous balloon. What do these things have in common? They are all ways to describe how we look and feel when we are bloated.

Hydrate your way to a happier, healthier you

Humans can last for more than three weeks without food – but only up to three days without water.

When we’re out having fun in the sun, there’s one essential thing to do that we tend to forget: we neglect to properly hydrate ourselves. While this is easy to overlook, it’s important we keep on top of our H2O for the sake of our health.

Dealing with the stress this festive season.

Summer... what a gorgeous time of year! The season of languid afternoons on the beach, sipping icy drinks to cool down, seeing distant relatives, pavlova and presents, road trips, adventures in nature. What could be better?

Sometimes, you have to take o the rose-tinted glasses. Sun burn and itchy legs from sea lice, brain freeze from cold beverages gulped down too quickly, family feuds reigniting, uncomfortably full stomachs and awkward moments of feigned appreciation upon opening an unsavoury present, motion sickness, mozzie bites and mystifying maps.
